This delicious Chicken Tigh Recipe is the best crispy baked chicken thighs you can make as they are deliciously crispy outside and juicy inside. Chicken breast is more popular to use in meals, as it has no bones, but it tends to get drier when cooked. Much juicier are chicken thighs as the skin makes it more crispy and prevents the poultry from drying out.
The spice mixture in this recipe makes it more flavourful and irresistibly juicy. The combination of onion and garlic gives it an extra finesse. In the Asian kitchen garlic and onion are often used which makes this recipe irresistible. And as they are oven-baked, not fried, they are much healthier to consume.
Combine this dish with rice or bread. Mashed potatoes with a green salad would complete your appetizing oven dish as well. You can use any leftovers as lunch or a lazy dinner. Just warm them up in the oven and ready is your hearty lunch or dinner!
Ingredients:
- 4 skin-on bone-in chicken thighs
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
Rub Ingredients: - 1 ½ tsp dried Italian seasoning
- 1 tsp paprika powder
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- ¼ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp pepper
Directions:
- Preheat the oven at 400 F/220 C. Spray lightly a baking tray with cooking spray.
- Mix all the rub ingredients in a bowl. Rub the chicken with rub mixture from all sides.
- Then rub the olive oil all over the chicken thighs and underneath the skin of the chicken.
- Transfer the chicken to the baking tray and bake undisturbed for 35-40 minutes or until the internal temperature of the chicken reaches 165 F.
- Serve immediately with your favorite sauce.
