This chicken thighs recipe ensures that you can have tasty chicken with simple ingredients.
Chicken and orange are a fantastic combination and together make a light and savory meal. It’s protein-packed with delicious citrus flavor and with the goodness of fresh parsley that gives it a divine taste. It is an easy and delicious way to bake chicken with only five ingredients.
There are two great things about chicken with skin. First, they are not so expensive. Second, the skin prevents the chicken from drying out, which gives it much more flavor, than for example chicken breast meat. This crispy baked chicken will melt in your mouth.
Serve this dish with rice, bread, potatoes, broccoli, or green beans. Or even with a simple green salad.
Variation:
Use lemon instead of an orange as a variation. Orange has a sweet taste whereas lemon will taste fresher. If you do, take two lemons instead of one orange because oranges yield more juice and usually are bigger. Change the parsley for Rosmarin and the meal will have a mouth-watering and different taste.
Ingredients:
- 4 Bone-in Skin-on Chicken Thighs
- 1 Orange, sliced and zested
- 3-4 Large Garlic Gloves pressed
(2 tsp)
- 3-4 tbsp Parsley, chopped
- 2 tbsp Olive Oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Directions:
- Preheat the oven at 400 F/220 C.
- In glass baking dish add chicken thighs and rub it with minced garlic, chopped parsley, orange zest, olive oil, salt, and pepper. Add the remaining parsley strings and orange slices.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until chicken is tender and the internal temperature reaches 180 F. Serve immediately.
