This healthy hamburger is not made with regular buns but with avocado halves as burger buns.
The avocado buns are filled with mayonnaise, onion & tomato slices, bacon, and fried egg. All of the ingredients are healthy and delicious to your taste buds.
Avocados are an excellent source of vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, anti-inflammatory compounds, and healthy fats, protecting our heart, skin, hair, and gut.
Bacon is best for breakfast; eggs contain proteins, vitamins, minerals, and other beneficial compounds.
The avocado burger is quickly made and provides significant energy to start your day. So give yourself an energy boost by eating it as your breakfast.
Ingredients:
● 1 ripe avocado
● 1 egg
● 2 bacon slices, 4-5 inches long
● 1 red onion slice
● 1 tomato slice
● 1 lettuce leaf
● 1 tablespoon mayonnaise
● Salt and pepper to taste
● Black sesame seeds, for garnish
Directions for a Healthy Hamburger:
- Place the bacon slices in a cold medium pan and then heat over medium heat; let it cook until it shrinks, and flip it. Cook until crispy and remove from pan.
- Crack open an egg in a bowl; pour it into the frying pan with the leftover bacon fats. Cook until egg white is set, but the egg yolk is still runny, or cook the egg to your desired preference. Remove from the pan and place on a plate with bacon slices.
- Cut the avocado in half lengthwise and remove the pit; separate the avocado halves from the skin using a spoon.
- Fill the one avocado half with mayonnaise and add lettuce, onion slice, tomato slice, bacon, and egg; top with another avocado half.
- Sprinkle sesame seeds over the top and serve.
