Why Happiness is a way of life and not the ultimate destination.

Happiness is a destination not a journey

Ever heard the expression Happiness is a way of life and not the destination? In this article, we will explain what it means and what you can do to find Happiness.

Are you searching for Happiness, as so many people do? Often people think that Happiness will come when the situation in which they are in, changes.

And Happiness eludes them because they think the Happy Change will come someday.

We often get caught in sentences that start with if only. If only I had more money or only a better job, or if only the children were grown and out of the house, if only my husband changed. The list is endless.

We waste a lot of precious time because we dream of the If Only’s. It is like a trap without an ending, a circle that starts all over again.

In some way, we think that Happiness comes to us magically. As if it were something that could be possessed.

And when Happiness then does arrive on the doorstep, it seems so short-lived that it quickly passes away.

The Basic Principles to make Happiness a way of life.

People mistakenly think that Happiness is just a feeling that captures one’s interest or enthusiasm for only a brief period of time.

But Happiness is not a feeling; it can be a way of life. If you follow some basic principles, Happiness can be yours daily.

1) Live in the NOW.

Living in this moment sounds more accessible than it is. Often we forget to be present in the now. We think of things that happen in the past or things that will happen in the future.

But we can’t change the past, and we don’t know what the future holds for us. If we are too focused on yesterday or tomorrow, today slips away from us.

We should enjoy and appreciate every moment of each day, especially the present one.

2) Master your state of mind.

You can learn to control your thinking and the thoughts that go through your mind. Happiness is not only living in the present time but is also a state of mind.

This means that you can learn to think positively and make sure that your thoughts bring you to better places instead of the opposite.
