It is super soft, creamy, melting in the mouth, and delicious. It is made with simple ingredients like cream cheese, sugar, eggs, milk, and flour.

The cream cheese is high in fat but a good source of vitamin A and riboflavin. The creamy flavor of this cake is due to this key ingredient, cream cheese.

You can serve this cake as simple as or some dust of sugar or fresh fruits like cranberries and strawberries.

Ingredients:

● 3/4 cup cream cheese spread
● 1/4 cup plus 1 tablespoon whole milk
● 2 tablespoons sugar
● 2 egg yolks
● 2 tablespoons cake flour
● 2 tablespoons cornflour

For Egg Whites

  • 2 egg whites
  • 3 tablespoons sugar

Directions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 265 F and line a 6-inch cake pan with butter paper from sides and bottom; grease with butter.
  2. In a saucepan, melt the cream cheese over low heat; whisk in the milk and sugar until well.
  3. Add sifted cake flour and cornflour; whisk until smooth. Turn off the heat and add egg yolks one by one. Whisk until smooth; make sure not to overmix the batter.
  4. In a separate bowl, beat the egg whites using an electric mixer; gradually add sugar and beat until stiff peaks form.
  5. Take a small number of egg whites and fold them into cream cheese batter. Pour the cream cheese batter into egg whites and fold to combine everything. Do not overmix. Otherwise, the batter will lose its fluffiness.
  6. Pour in the cake pan and place in a baking tray filled with water; 1 inch from the bottom.
  7. Bake for 1 hour 25 minutes. Let it cool in the oven for 10 minutes or until the oven’s temperature reaches 130 F. Then remove from the oven and allow to cool on a cooling rack before serving.
  8. Serve with your favorite berries!
